The manual states: "Computer interface cable with a 3.5 mm T-R-S connector at one end and USB connector at the other end supplied with the KAT500 (supplied). Not required for normal operation, but used for controlling the KAT500 from a personal computer, customizing the KAT500’s operation or for updating firmware (see Utility Program on page 14)."
Question: Does this cable have a USB connector on the computer end for direct connection to a USB port, or does it have a DB9 and the user supplies a serial to USB converter? Past Elecraft products have always used a DB9 and the user supplied the USB/serial converter. Is this a departure from that practice? Thanks, Charles Johnson, K4ZRJ, awaiting my KAT500-K ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
