Jim, the first sentence is "If you do not have the KXAT3 ATU option, skip this step." It means just that. If you did NOT get the KXAT3 option, go on to the next step because rest of that step describes how to install the KXAT3.
Figure 44 and the associated step describes want to do if you HAVE the KXAT3 and Figure 45 and the associated step describes want to do if you do NOT have the KXAT3 option. Thanks for the note.
