And as another mentioned the rear panel mic connector will work.  I
bought an inexpensive 3.5mm (1/8") stereo extension cable (plug to jack)
so the microphone connection is accessable at the front of the radio to
ease plugging my headset in and out.  Also, any wear and tear is
confined to an easily replacable cable, and not the K3's jack.
