I agree, Bob. I mentioned this last year (as did at least one other participant) hoping that the rules would be reconsidered. As it stands, fewer operators will be on the air at any given time, resulting in a slower-paced contest with more dead time between QSOs than there would be there otherwise. With this being the case, I can't justify going to the effort of traveling, setting up, hoping for decent band conditions (given the poor condx of late) and hoping most other ops have chosen the same 6 hour period in which to operate as I have. I know we can operate for 12 hours & choose the best six but that really isn't feasable for a lot of folks.

On the other hand, I do hope to make it into a few logs albeit from here in the shack. Best wishes to those of you heading a'field,
