Just sitting here looking at the cases and it occurs to me that with some extra 2D connectors one could construct a front panel using flat strips of sheet metal. With attention paid to the location for drilling the holes for the 2D connectors. Might have to make up some jigs with drilled out 2D connectors for proper placement. Have to look for a source for precision cut panels I guess.
