I would just like to say thanks to all the Elecraft Reflector subscribers who offered me advice on my mission to take datamodes to the next level.
In the end I stuck to my original plan to use the microHAM microKeyer II and HRD/DM780 software. It was a steep learning curve to get everything animated, but with your help and some steers from Joe Subich (W4TV) of microHAM USA, I am now Mr Digiman, making lots of QSOs on PSK31/63 and 125. The microKeyer and its router seem a perfect complement to my K3, and the HRD/DM780 has been unfailing in its virtuosity for all aspects of data-mode operating. The automatic logging capability led on to the needto automate the QSL process, and so I am now a devotee of EQSL also. Thanks again to everyone who helped me shoot through, and, it goes without saying, thanks to Elecraft for a great radio which makes it all happen!
