I think the NORM's remember your roofing filter settings as well as the DSP when you do the <- SAV -> drill. As I said, I haven't really used them except to try it out. You should be able to set one up with your "no QRM" setting, and the other with a narrower filter and restricted DSP, and toggle between them:
HOLD the knob in until <- NOR -> appears, then, still holding, rotate CCW [NORM1] or CW [NORM2]. You don't have to rotate the knob very far, maybe only one encoder pulse?
I have just the "stock" CW and SSB roofing filters that come with the K3, and they switch when I run the DSP thru 500Hz so the "normalize" functions don't hold a whole lot of value for me. I can see that, if you have additional roofing filters they could be much more useful.
No "knob knowledge tests" for NCCC but there are a bunch of K3's in the members' shacks, Tom, K5RC has four at two SO2R op positions at W7RN.
