Please provide a better definition of what you think a "Zepp" antenna is. There are many variants. The classic Zepp was a half wave wire with a 1/4 wave transmission line that was deployed behind lighter than air aircraft (Zeppelin). That is similar to a J-pole 'on its side'.

Zepp antenna is a term that has been modified by hams for years and the result is that it is not a well defined term.
