For what little it might be worth, I bought my last supply of the stainless
steel ribbon kitchen scrubbies for $1 or less at a local Dollar General
store. They're in the kitchenwares section there, and in many grocery
stores, though recently I've seen more grocery stores moving to curly
plastic scrubbies (probably the result of Teflon), rather than the
stainless devices.
