I have owned both and if you have a K3 and want the best use the P3/SVGA better integration and do not have to use your computer. There can be software glitches and I had problems with mine keeping it running all the time due to them.
I personally would never downgrade to LP-Pan from my P3-SVGA again to much of a step back.
