I see this had happened before, and Elecraft was supposed to have fixed any "blown" audio chip issues. However, just putting together my new K3 (S/N 72xx), and going to calibrate sections, I noticed no audio in speaker. Tried headphones, front and back -ok. Speaker jack on back is dead as well. Looks a lot like the old audio chip problem still. I never even had a chance to hookup an antenna yet!
Any other "new" K3s out there having the same problem still? Would like to know if there is still some generic problem, or was I just an unlucky "circumstance". Everything else seems to be working fine. Need to fix this before installing KRX3 and KPA3. Under warranty, yes, but mail from California to Canada takes a while - sigh...
