At the K9ZC station, we have antennas and feed line that are more than 2,000 feet from the shack. I used surplus (new) 1 5/8" feed line for the RF and direct bury fiber optic cable with converters for the control signals. Works like a charm.

If you're already going to run a cable from the operating position to near the antenna anyway, why not just use a low loss feedline? LMR400 or equiv is only around -1.5dB at 10m.
