Rick: I recommend the Energizer Ultimates. I have never seen corrosion with them but that doesn't mean it can't happen. They give roughly twice the power at half the weight. However they are pricy. 73, Fred, AE6QL

This has been with "AA" alkaline cells. My question is, would I have less problems using Lithium (Energizer Ultimate) cells. I know that I should probably remove the cells in equipment that is not used on a regular basis, but I don't always bother or remember. I just replaced the cells in my GPS receiver, and found quite a bit of corrosion. I cleaned it up with baking soda and water, and it looks good. Device still works fine. Thanks for any information on this subject. 73, Rick Dettinger K7MW ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
