Hi Mark, I'm not sure exactly what you have to work with and what you want to do. I don't have an MC-60 but did some searching for information on it. Seems one kind has the microphone hard wired to the base, so it doesn't seem like that one would work easily with a boom. Another variation says you can use the microphone with out the base, just use the coiled cord as an extension for the microphone cable on the mic. If you search for "8 pin microphone extension" you will find many products available, both coiled and straight cords. 73 - Mike WA8BXN -------Original Message------- From: [email protected] Date: 3/19/2013 12:54:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Elecraft] Kenwood MC-60 Microphone to K3 Good Afternoon, my name is Mark Griffin and my call is KB3Z. I have used a Kenwood MC-60 microphone ever since I purchased my K3 four years ago. I would like to connect the microphone to a boom assembly, but trying to find a microphone cable that would be long enough to connect to the K3 and then to the front of the boom might be difficult. I tried Heil, but Jerry Lynch gave me no help whatsoever. Does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes microphone cables? Thanks!!
