The discussion the past few days on Beacons prompted me to try the Faros -automatic Beacon Monitoring Program by Alex VE3NEA. For it to run you need to have Omni-Rig installed. Here's my problem when I configure Omni Rig to use the same com port as the K3, as the Faros instructions instruct you to do, the K3 goes to a steady Tx condition, which stops if I change to a different com port in Omni rig. I have used Omni rig previously (CW Skimmer) with the K3 with no issues. I have Win 7 64 bit, 4gb ram, 2.7ghz processor, serial port connection to K3. Have a Signalink USB sound card interface. Anyone else using FAROS with their K3 that could help me find where I am going wrong getting them to communicate.
