Roger,

Simplify things - right now all I can say is that you have a problem with either your antenna, your amplifier, your external tuner or the KX3. Any of those can be suspect.

Try the KX3 alone with your antenna, extra gear just complicates the picture. Take the KXAT3 out of bypass and do an ATU TUNE on all bands - you should be able to receive if the band is not dead.
Then try a transmit on all bands.

Better yet, try the above tests into a dummy load (do an ATU TUNE into the dummy load first) and see if you can transmit. That takes the complication of the antenna out of the picture.

Once you can transmit into the dummy load, then add the antenna and do an ATU TUNE on all bands with the antenna connected. Observe the SWR that is produced at the tuner input - it should be low (1.5 or lower).

After that, try receive. If all is well, then add back in the AT200 first and bypass the internal tuner (that is a per band setting - do it on each band). When you have good results with the external tuner, add the amplifier and see if there is any difference.

If adding the external tuner or the amplifier causes the receive to drop off, the problem is in the gear added and not the KX3.

New to ham. I have a new KX3 with a RM italy 100 watt amp and AT200 Pro II

tuner shows it is tuning. ATU is bypassed. Went through the menu and
everything is still set to factor. Am I missing something?
