A user-level summary is in the K3 firmware release notes. If you copy the new firmware using the K3 Utility's "copy files" button, the new release notes file is also copied, and can be viewed from a selection on the K3 Utility Help menu. Copying the file from Elecraft means bringing the firmware files and release notes from Elecraft's file server to a directory on your personal computer. Installation in the K3 is a second step that only starts after all the firmware is in files on your PC.
