That was my initial thought, although it's dated April 16. The level of detail is even lower than one would expect in a joke, lending credibility that it's typical consumer press, probably exaggerated, maybe grossly so, but perhaps echoing actual work. I looked up the prof who appears to be real and his pubs list includes some stuff on the subject. Unfortunately, the one article I tried to access was in a closed, academic journal. Anyone know anything about this?
