Jim's statement below about a KPA500 200W limit on 30M is incorrect. The KPA500 puts out full power on all bands when driven at its normal levels by the K3 or any other rig. Power is controlled by the drive level from the rig, not by the amp.

Of course in the U.S. it is the responsibility of the operator to limit drive to the amplifier so that they do not exceed the power limits on 30M.

FWIW, I really appreciate being able to run the KPA500 on 30M to give me 200W output when I'm chasing DX in a pileup, or trying to work someone over a very long path. The KPA is programmed so that 200W is all you get, and it only needs something like 7-8 watts drive to get there.
