Hi Jim, The small black connector that fits into the PR6 is a really tight friction fit. I doubt it could be accidentally pulled out.
The red and black wires terminate in a RCA plug that goes into the back of the K3. It's no more likely to pull out then any other K3 rear cable. (If you also have a P3 you would need a RCA "Y" cable). The white wire is more problematic. I extended mine and have it wired into a 15 pin fanout board for the K3 accessory socket. 73, Mike K2MK Jim AB3CV wrote > The little 3 pin connector without any strain relief and wires hanging off > it give me concern. > > How have others made this connection secure mechanically? > > I'm thinking of making up a little block with a phono plug for the control > signal and a power pole for power and somehow securing this to the PR6 > case, perhaps with double sided foam tap. > > I'll make up some RG8X BNC/BNC jumpers for the ins and outs. > > Pix and links wanted. > > Thanks > > jim ab3cv -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/Mounting-cabling-PR6-tp7572806p7572807.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
