An excellent alternative is to connect the headphone out of the KX3 directly to an aux input on the car stereo (or even use an FM stereo modulator at the KX3 end and tune it in on the radio). This takes advantage of the big speakers in the car, which are designed to exceed road noise. Of course if you want to play the FM radio and the KX3 at the same time you'll need a different method.
