Best looking curve?? Can you elaborate Bob? It has been a while since I set mine up and I have adjusted the sidetone somewhat to peak the sidetone to my hearing. I need to go in and make sure the sidetone is still in the center of the passband on the filters. I have never used Spectrogram to adjust my DSP filters.

A good DSP filter has exactly the characteristics you describe. When I use Spectrogram to adjust my crystal filters, I first set the DSP to the desired bandwidth, then the XFIL, then do the adjustment until I get the best looking curve.
