I don't remember but someone a week or so ago was talking about vfo tuning rates and using the RIT knob for tuning with RIT off. I've set the RIT for 0.5kc rate. This allows you to leave VFO in in fine rate and use the RIT knob for coarse/fast qsy or band scanning.
