Cliff, there is a wealth of information already written on this subject. I suggest you check the archives. Some drop is normal but the amount depends on your setup. The direct answer to your question depends on several factors. You need to determine where the voltage drop is occurring. It may be your power supply itself in which case there is nothing to be done other than finding a better supply. You can decrease drop by using bigger and shorter wire. 73 Fred, AE6QL

Just a general question, thought my new power supply was dropping voltage on TX but no it is rock solid, I get about 1V drop at full power CW on the K3 Display. Is this normal, I have already replaced the troublesome PA pins is there something else that would cause this. Don't think the drop over the power lead would cause it Any ideas appreciated, Cliff VK2CCJ ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
