I am attempting to operate PSK31 on my K2. I am using a BuxCom Rascal
interface, with a cable from "external speaker" for audio into the computer,
and a cable to the mic input using both the audio in and PTT lines with a
common ground.

I am able to receive properly, and the PTT works correctly. However, the audio
input is not working correctly. There is little or no output from the K2 (as
seen on a wattmeter) no matter what the audio input level is from the computer
sound card, but if the signal is monitored on another reveiver there is a very
noisy, pulsing tone that does NOT change with raising and lowering the audio
input level from the computer.

Since I have been using the computer and the interface with other rigs, I
believe the fault is not with these parts. I have also confirmed that the mic
connector is wired correctly.

I have set the K2 up to use the Heil Proset headset, which means that I have
placed the appropriate resistor between pins 6 and 1 on the front panel mic
connector. My suspicion is that the voltage supplied by that resistor may be
causing the problem. Since I will be using the K2 with the Proset most of the
time, I do not wisk to remove the resistor. Anyone have any experience with
this or any suggestions? Thanks.
