Yes.
However, the T1 does not require a constant carrier for tuning. Once
you've matched the antenna on all bands using the T1, you can re-tune
from the T1's memories using intermittent speech or a keyer. It will
start and stop, following the power.
The most convenient method of all is to use our T1-FT817 adapter cable.
This allows the T1 to track band changes at the FT-817 without the need
to transmit. It recalls the last L and C settings used on each band.
