Hi Folks:

It's that time of the year again, when members of the Mid-MO ARC (Jefferson City MO), and the Warrensburg (MO) Area Amateur Radio Club (WWARCI) will make another trip to Frankenstein MO, to operate W0O (you get it Vern? W0Oooooo!!!) over Halloween.

Members of the WWARCI will operate W0O, 0500Z to 0500Z, October 31 to Nov 1, mostly on phone, and you should be able find them on or around 3.943, 7.233, 14.315, and 21.378 MHz.

Members of the MMARC will also operate W0O from about 1800Z Oct 31, through about 1400Z on Nov 1. Our operating frequencies will mostly CW, around the .028, .040, and .050 marks on 20/40/and 80 meters. We will operate on other bands (including WARC) if conditions permit. We will have two (probably K2/100) stations in operation. If we have any phone ops show up, they'll be on or around the phone frequencies posted for the WWARCI activity, but we'll try to stay out of their hair.

ALL QSOs made by MMARC will be QSLed...! You DO NOT have to send us your QSL unless you wish to do so. Cards which we send will go to your mailing address shown by QRZ.COM, so if you've moved and failed to update your listing with the FCC, now's the time to fix that problem.

There's a special postmark cache available from Frankenstein. Unfortunately, it expires on October 31. So we will have to pre-pay a fixed number of stamped envelopes into which we will place QSLs going out to those we've worked. Since we don't know how many QSOs we'll make, I suspect we'll have about 100 envelopes postmarked from Frankenstein and those will go to the first 100 stations we (MMARC ops) work. There's a chance that the WWARCI will do the same thing, but I don't have that on authority at this point.

We'd love to work you during this FunXpedition... look for us and call us!

CU You from W0Ooooooo shortly.

73,

Tom N0SS and the Mid-MO ARC
