That is not the point here ... whether the antenna is an electric or magnetic radiator, it *will* interact with items in the near field. *Further* the cobweb is an electric radiator just like any other dipole or yagi and will interact with its environment in the same way as any other *reduced size* antenna. Again, the folding may result in some field cancellation in the immediate environment but that is nothing more than a symptom of *reduced efficiency* just like *any other reduced size antenna.* 73, ...
