Wayne, My KX3 is an early model and I would like to pursue this modification for improved 80/160M receive but I'd first like to see details on the mod. I have the tools and expertise to service SMD components but I'd like to make a more informed decision about this mod to my radio. Can you email me more info on which parts are changed and where they're located? Thanks, Gary N6LRV

Most operators who have the older circuitry will never experience band conditions bad enough to warrant making the modifications, since even in that case, the KX3's dynamic range would put it in the top ten on Sherwood's list (about 90 dB at 2 kHz). But if you might be a candidate for the changes, please the following document carefully: http://www.elecraft.com/manual/KX3%2080M-160M%20Rx%20Improvement%20-%20Owner %20version%20B.pdf 73, Wayne N6KR ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
