That does not seem normal at all. My K1 front panel does not flex as the flat-head front panel mounting screw is tightened, however much I try. Are you sure that the front panel stand-off (to which the flat-head screw will attach) was mounted to the front panel PCB with *two* #4 lock-washers below it, as described and illustrated on page 20 of the K1 manual?
