I had the same experience last winter. What I found, however, was that the LP-100 was "working" in that I could still use it over the serial port, but the front panel display appeared to be dead. I'm guessing the display died, but I have one of the early models with the now unobtanium displays, so I figured I'd need to contact Larry. I'm not on the yahoo group, so let me know what you find out!
