Oli, IIRC you need to set the K3's CONFIG:PWR SET menu item to PER BAND to make this work. In PER BAND mode, the K3 will remember two different power settings on each band; one when the KPA500 is off or in STANDBY, and a different one for when the KPA500 is in OPERATE.
