Within the last month, or so, there was a thread about finding an email client
to avoid spam, and it talked about email clients.

From about that time, I had a major email problem, and tested several email
clients. To save time and space, I will say this:

--I found emClient good, but the license agreement scared me away (maybe that
is just me).

--I found ThunderBird was the best to set up and configure. It was almost
automatic. I feel it excels in that catagory .

--To my surprise, I found Windows Live Mail from Windows 7 deserves
consideration. Coming from Outlook Express, I thought Live Mail was not user
friendly and awkward, but it actually is fine software. At first, I thought I
had to log in to Live Mail at Outlook.com, but that is optional. Users only
need to go to ‘accounts’ and set up an account for each of the email addresses
they are now using. From then on, it seems to function as a stand alone email
client.

I have used it for group mailings and it works easily for that. It has some
nice extras. As for spam, the jury is still out.

I’m still comparing to see if one is more dependable. I just highlighted this
line to see if it will be reproduced.
