I'm using a 3" fan on the right side of the heatsink (it's only needed there, right over the finals). Mine pulls air up. I put several diodes in series with the 12v supply to get a speed that would move enough air to be effective without making too much noise. With the fan, it just does not ever get very hot! I've been using double-sided tape for about a year with no problem.
