The XG3 Utility gets its port list from the operating system. If you look at the Windows Device Manager, you should see the FTDI devices and their COM port assignments.
Can the new KUSB communicate to the KX3? Can the old KUSB communicate with the XG3? Here is what I have....the XG3 and the KUSB cable. I have hte FTDI software installed and it talks to my KX3 via a KUSB no problem and has been doing this for close to a year. The XG3 (with a separate KUSB cable) was hooked up to my PC via a USB port. A "new hardware" box came up and I followed the prompts. But the XG3 and my pc are not talking. I f Us the KUSB cable from my KX3 and set it to that port there is no problem and the XG3 can talk via the KX3 port. I want to do the SSB Nul procedure and there fore I have to have both the KX3 and XG3 up and running on my pc. In the XG3 software the com ports seem to be limited...meaning for some reason they are not showing all USB ports on my PC?? I have tried to set up communication with all the ports that the XG3 software shows but there is no communication at all.
