Note to Steve KS6PD:
If you suspect hearing loss get your hearing tested by a professional audiologist. You may benefit from hearing aids, now! Perhaps your employer provides annual physicals which include hearing tests? That should tell you.

Donald K6RV sent me more info on the Phonac ComPilot, so I will check with my audiologist on it. It would be handy to use with my K3 or KX3, plus answer the phone anywhere in the house.

Mark KE6BB story was funny but not far off the mark. Too often hearing loss is not recognized and the individual not identified as having a handicap. There is no outward sign that one is hard of hearing: no missing limbs, no white cane, no service dog!

My headphones are old: Sony DR-V600 (not sure they are made anymore).

I have T-coil enabled in my hearing aids but I find it not very useful (worse than using the speaker phone) and did not work with some office phones.
