I've been fortunate to be able to check in fairly easy from Alaska.
Maybe because skip favors the roughly 1600mi path to Phil or the
longer path to N6JW (who is generally stronger). I started out only
running the K3/10 at 10w a couple years ago so that is pretty
good. It was more difficult conditions, yesterday, though I was
copying NS7P. I used N6JW sweep to check in easier. I was running
my 120w PA into the Hygain TH3mk4 at 50-feet.
