The solution was complex and subtle, involving adjustments to a number of parameters in the RemoteRig units. I got a LOT of help from Brandon at Elecraft. What a nice guy!
If others are having problems, I can send a file with all my parameters. it is a little big to post here. Brandon is working on a re-write of the K3/0 manual which I suspect will fill in some of the dark corners. In any event, i think I am, for the moment, in a position to operate my K3 remotely.
