Y'all are thinking too small. I expect that the next generation will be voice operated, to be followed by a rig that won't require any input from the Ham. Since you are the licensee, it will just text you with a summary of the QSO's that it made on your behalf each day. But then, one day, we'll be able to apply for licenses and take the exams on-line so the rig log on and get the license and we humans won't have to bother ourselves with what the rig is doing.
