Once I did a contest where the KX3 was keyed by N1MM logging software via serial port/simple transistor switch, and I found the CW sounded quite choppy. I replaced the transistor circuit with one of those K1EL winkeyer kits, and it still sounded choppy, but I had read an article on the web somewhere about switchover delays in the KX3. The author of that article recommended a particular value for the fixed delay compensation parameter in the Winkeyer, and when I configured that, the CW sounded FB.
It is quite possible that some tweaking of the internal keyer code in the KX3 could produce some improvements, but so far I haven't made any measurements myself to investigate this topic. 73, Matt VK2RQ On 22/08/2013, at 5:13 PM, Klaus Koppendorfer <[email protected]> wrote: > Tnx Mat, yes i know this article – measurements are done with 20 wpm > With higher speeds it will become more worth !! > > Von: Matt VK2RQ [mailto:[email protected]] > Gesendet: Donnerstag, 22.
