Seems that over the last couple of weeks, things on the list have become a bit more contentious than they really need to be.

We're all passionate about our hobbies, and we're pretty passionate about our gear.

I don't know of another company who constantly improves their existing products, or engages their customers so directly.

When our passion overflows, we stray from discussing the technical and start getting personal -- attacking the person, instead of the ideas.

Trouble is, the ideas get lost in the personal attacks, and it's the ideas that are important, folks.

It's not fun to watch someone get publicly chastised just because one person has an idea and someone else does not like it.

I suspect that's why we've seen a flurry of "please remove me from this list" messages.

I love a spirited technical argument, but I hate arguing for the sake of arguing.

So, speaking solely for myself, can we take it down a notch or two?

Thanks and 73 -- Lynn
