K8DSS and I went and saw the movie, Paranoia. Harrison Ford played the part of a wealthy business man running a high tech company. In his office were a number of Hallicrafters boat anchors. Someone asked him about them, and he said that they were from his earlier years as a "ham radio operator", and that he "had built the radios". Unless I fell asleep, I think this was the only mention of ham radio in the movie. I don't think that even an Elecraft rig could have enhanced the portrayal of ham radio in the movie.
