Thanks to a tip from Mike NF4L I turned on Tech Mode in Config
and was able to get REF CAL (according to the manual). Then turning off Tech
Mode and back
to XVN OFS tapping 0 (according to the manual) got me the ability
to tune the OFS to the calculations from REF CAL.
The freq offset from REF CAL was pretty close to my off air observations
so I will try that and see what happens.
BUT I now can do both REF CAL and then XVN OFS. Just FYI 73
All (according to the manual)...............8>)

Subject: [Elecraft] Recalibrating the XV144

Greetings All, I do not understand. A common failure here.
I have the Phase lock board installed in the K144XV 2M transverter in my K3.
The K3 is factory and I installed the K144XV and the PL board.
Apparently I failed to calibrate/recalibrate the unit after installation.
Now I have gotten around to working on getting this on 2M and find the freq
is off. So following the destructions in the option manual I tried to do the
recal. My problem is I cannot get to the CONFIG:REF CAL menu. It is just not
there. But then if I go into the OFS menu and try to tune the freq I get
REFLOCK instead of a change in freq.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction. Obviously I am missing
something. Thanks es 73
