I had a similar problem with Pin 8 on the accessory port being grounded by way of an interface it was testing.
I snipped Pin 8 out of the DE-9 connector and the K3 went back to normal behavior. Do you have anything on the ACC socket? -- Mike Flowers, K6MKF, NCDXC - "We do DX!"
