If you are going to be experimenting, then I suggest the Rework
Eliminator(TM) K2 Internal Mic Adaptor (IMA). It supports jumper
configurable wiring of the pin-out as well as seven jumper selectable bias
resistances between 820 and 10k Ohms. All Alinco, Elecraft, Heil, Icom,
Kenwood, Ten-Tec, and Yaesu 8-pin Foster microphone pin-outs are supported.
And best of all, you don't have to disassemble the radio to change
configurations! All that's required is removal of the left side panel!
