I just finished installing the Yamaha CM 500 headset for SSB in my newly constructed K2. Using VOX, I find the microphone is so sensitive that it switches to transmit based on the very quiet sound levels in the room. If I switch the Vox delay from .1 to .4 sec, and hold the microphone completely enclosed in my hand, I can (mostly) block VOX activation. Is there a way to decrease Vox sensitivity so I will only trigger transmit when speaking. Have yet to make SSB contact.
