Hello, just finished building K2 #5173 and some options without any problems, thanks to the excellent Elecraft kits.
Some info for orders from Germany (this is how I did it:) Shipping via UPS Express is a little more expensive than International Air Parcel Post, but German Postal Service (which handles parcels in Germany) has a value limit of 500 $, whereas UPS has no limit, and furthermore they provide excellent tracking capability. Customs procedure is very easy: UPS will call you concerning customs declaration. Please tell the guy that the parts are exempt of customs, and the declaration number (Zolltarifnummer) is 8525 2099 000. On the outside envelope of the box (beneath the bill) you will also find a document referring to this. Delivery time was 4 days in my case, and 2 weeks later I got the bill from UPS about 10,00 EUR processing fees plus 16% regular value tax. I hope that I could help those considering to buy directly from Elecraft. For me it was a pleasure and saved some money.
