I use my KX3 on 146.805 repeater with no problem. I think the firmware is a little smarter - you tell it you have a transverter connected (up to 10, I believe) and it's cared for.

I would to use an existing 2 meter xvtr with the KX3.  No problem except my
primary use would be for satellite operation. That is in the 145.8 to 146.0
mhz. That would correspond to 29.8 to 30.0 mhz,  which is out of band for
the KX3.  So,  is there a way to allow transmit just above the ten meter
band?  One option would be to change the xtal in the inverter down 1 mhz,
but then I give up the weak signal bottom of the 2 meter band.  Thoughts?
