It must be me or this would drive everyone nuts. During the WAE rtty contest, while sending QTCs ( lengthy transmission ) about 1 time in 10, the k3 would lock up and display the ERR DSE message. I run so2r and it happened on both rigs. I would power the affected k3 off and back on and try to save the contact. The audio volume was reduced from what it was previously, and this could be fixed with another power cycle. (I did think my hearing was going). One radio has the subrx and the other doesn't.
I am running N1MM contest software which polls the radios a lot, and running FSK. Running 4.67/2.81 firmware. The only other thing I noticed is that the power output as shown on the k3 power meter seems to flicker periodically while sending. (It may have done this forever, but I was watching much more closely to see if it would make it through the transmission). I watched the current drain, and while it fluctuated a bit, it was always in a sensible range. I'll try some more things (like seeing it happens while in test mode) once I get over the contest. Anyone else see this? Mark.
