Thanks for the advice but I don't have RFC15 installed. Mine is an A
series K2 and when I did the A to B mods a few years ago, the "do you
need RFC15" test proved negative so I didn't install it.
I could, of course, try installing it now - provided I can find it!

Check RFC15 on pin 16 of the PLL chip U4 on the K2 RF board as it is
probably O/C. Need to check with an ohmeter to be sure. Very easily
damaged and gives the same symtoms as you describe. Can be shorted out
as a temporary measure until you get a new RFC from Elecraft or elsewhere.
